Children are the future! We believe they need to be protected and nurtured. At the same time, encouraged to grow and develop their abilities and talents fully.

 

Likewise, we expect the interns and trainees who counsel in the schools to develop the highest level of clinical skills. The Program for Counseling in Schools guides interns and
trainees toward attaining greater and greater levels of interpersonal awareness and self-knowledge. Allowing them to provide the highest level of assistance to the school communities they are serving.

We provide counseling services, consultation, and educational programs for members of the school communities. Therefore, our services are available to children and their families. Part of this work is consulting with teachers, parents, administrators, and principals; this can take place in a group or individual setting.

Our mission is to advocate for members of the community as they experience challenges and require assistance. We strive to create integration; healing and a greater awareness of self in order to help individuals love themselves and others more fully. We strive to maintain the highest standards and quality of school counseling.

This is accomplished by providing interns and trainees with high-quality supervision and training consistently. We guide them on how to provide the best quality of care for the school communities while on their paths to licensure.
